Here it is in the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper – Copyright breaches land group in trouble:
An anti-vaccination group is under fire for allegedly breaching copyright laws by selling newspaper and medical journal articles online without permission from the authors.
The Australian Vaccination Network, which was the subject of a public warning issued by the Health Care Complaints Commission last month, withdrew 11 information packs from its website yesterday after complaints from authors.
The packs, which were selling for up to $128, included home-made books filled with articles photocopied from journals around the world, information on drugs taken from MIMS, the medical guide used by doctors and nurses, and copies of brochures inserted in medication boxes by pharmaceutical companies.
I first got the news via Antivaxers.com (‘Ignorant about vaccines, NOT copyright’) – there you can find a detailed breakdown of the situation and how Meryl Dorey seemed to be aware of what she was doing, stemming from her comment on the official AVN discussion group in August 2010.
By the way – yes, I am aware that Meryl has commented about me on the Young Australian Skeptics site and I point to these resources:
Live-Blogging The Telethon Institution Lecture On ‘Vaccination. The Experts. The Facts.’
Here’s the site which features the very well-attended lecture by the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research, ‘Vaccination – The Experts, The Facts’, found at http://www.ichr.uwa.edu.au/newsandevents/events/vaccination
In addition, If you’re a person who wishes to contribute further, you could very well add your name to the list of writers at the Young Australian Skeptics site – contact Elliot to be a welcome addition to their lineup!

So why didn’t you hang around for the Q&A? You might have learnt something!
I was handing out flyers to people who left.
There was someone else in attendance; there wasn’t much to report on apart from repeating content that was already in the lectures. A lot of sad, scared parents who were taking in what was being said – thankfully, and I do attribute this to the Telethon lecture, the next AVN lecture was sparsely attended and mostly consisted of Wilyman attempting to rebut content from the Telethon lecture by claiming things along the lines of ‘they only give anecdotes!!’ – yes, the bleak humor of that is not lost on me… :/
But they are such a professional outfit – I am staggered that they would behave in such a way.
BEHAVE, MR NAUT! :p
Who me ?
