Tune in (or listen online or podcast later) 105.7 ABC Darwin! They called in order to have me on ‘The Guestroom’, which is a ‘journey into someone else’s life every day of the week’ with host Leon Compton. Very flattered that they considered me! I’ll see how many podcasts of friends I can blatantly name-drop throughout the entire thing.
But you don’t want to know that. You want to know what kind of songs I requested, which they might play on the show! I had a few, but here’s two. This one came to mind because of Digital Cuttlefish:
This one came to mind as well -- and is for Prof Barbara Drescher. Why? Because she plays it better, harder, faster, with accuracy -- and with more class.

Dammit… now I miss you.
See, I always told you you should be on ABC Radio.
Now, with PZ on strike, can I ask you (and everyone else) to step up the blogging a bit. I’ve just spent the last 45 minutes lazily scrolling through a Pharyngula comment thread. No one should have to do that – ever.
Oh, and be careful what you say to about Cuttlefish – it swore at me tonight.
You’re too much!!
Prepare for nightmares…
Nightmares! You think I can sleep with PZ on strike?!?! I have to make plans for the future. What am I going to do with my spare time now?!
Sorry PB, I’m back (you’re gonna wish I never stopped blogging). I just had to say PZ blogged something! I knew you’d all want to know.
Must be one of the shorther ones. The kool kids are gathering on FB since Seed’s demise seems inevitable.
Will listen to the program later ….
Yay for the return of Andy D! I directed someone to a cached-version of a breakdown you did of a claim a while back (escapes me exactly which one, but it was well done), so I’m really pleased that it’s back online, it’s a wonderful resource.
Just did interview then, wahoo! I felt I was a little babbly, but they liked me. Phew. Right, back to working on the thesis and grading some student work!
Sorry Kylie, I’m not back blogging. I’m just back here haunting your comment section with useless updates o the PZ saga as I have all this stuff in my head that I have to write somewhere!
I’ve been thinking of going through and gutting some of my blog and maybe leaving the “generic” articles there (the non-personal ones) as I did enjoy the exercise of writing them. Your comment here makes that more of a possibility.
Must be one of the shorther ones.
Not really. By “lazilly scrolling” I really meant “skipping a lot”. They get rather repetitive and increasingly off-topic after the first 10-20 comments.
Audio of interview I did today is now online! http://www.abc.net.au/local/audio/2010/07/22/2960948.htm
Well done interview Kylie ! The host wasn’t great and seemed to be ticking things off a list the way he asked his questions, but I thought your replies were really good .
Listen to it on the way to teach little darlings this morning. You came across clear and very upbeat for the grumpy life/art/imigination hating atheist/skeptic curmudgeon that you are.
I felt that Leon did the “its so sad to die and for there to be nothing” thing 3 times -it’s supposed to be about your thoughts, not getting the guest to agree with ones own limited view on life.
