AUTISM AND GENETIC LINK – What Say Now, AVN?

by podblack on June 11, 2010

Firstly – sorry if I’m not keeping things updated, there are serious internet issues I’m having which limit my access. If you’ve recently emailed or ‘Tweeted’ me or even got in touch via Facebook, I will respond later when I can!

Today, in my classroom, I told my students what the Australian Vaccination Network was, in relation to current issues and ethical debates in medicine.

They were horrified. They were even more horrified as to how on earth the AVN could justify their existence at all – when I pointed out the following news article, which we discussed in class. I hope you pass it onto others:

Page Three of the West Australian Newspaper – New Gene Find For Autism.

The world’s biggest DNA scan for autism has uncovered new genetic changes linked to the condition which US researchers say could help doctors diagnose children earlier and deliver improved treatment.

The results, published in the journal Nature by the Autism Genome Project led by the Mount Sinai school of medicine in New York, could speed the development of the first genetic test for the condition, which affects up to one in 160 Australians.

A detailed study of almost 1000 children with autism and their parents found sections of the DNA were either missing or duplicated in people with the condition.

Thanks to the people who continually monitor the activities of the AVN – I know that they plan to return next month and it will certainly be addressed with accurate information and a stronger focus on having public awareness raised of the inaccuracies touted by the AVN.

I can see it now…

“Well sure a lot of autism is genetic but vaccines cause the rest and Gardasil still killed 20 gazillion people last week after the microchips were remotely activated.” [AVN]

“Vaccinations contain a negatively charged quantum singularity which collapses to a antichronological time continuum. This sends the mercury back in time, destroying the innocent child’s genetic code. Big Pharma have done this deliberately in order to enslave the population and then kill us with swine flu.” AVN

Oh, this is so much fun now, but how will I feel later when the AVN run this line as a serious explanation….

I am sure with the new amount of infomation that is out there many people will steer clear of the AVN and those who support this malictious organisation.

You were write its not vaccines she screamed at me .. no I said thank science and all the medical researchers and well the reason.
Meryl belives in the lizard people and the illuminati always a way out for her. That alone just poses so many questions :S
I wonder if she will start holding talks and comming outright to say it is the Lizard people……

Maybe Kylie can wear a lizard costume to the next Meryl talk see how she reacts lol I am just joking :D

Damn Clare! The lizard costume is a great idea.

Media cut-through is the name of the game. Imagine being interviewed about the costume and getting the opportunity to explain it to the waiting media!

Kylie? :)

Oh no..just found an article on AoA asking for Americans to write health authorities here in support of AVN. The madness never stops. I tried to post a comment in response but doubt it will get posted.
