I have so much to do… so little time! But in the meantime, I’ll be attending:
- 2010 Annual Conference for “Philosophy in the Classroom” – 5-7 July, 2010 at the University of New South Wales. I plan to be one or two days either side of these dates, so I don’t know if there’s an SiTP on the Tuesday, but perhaps I might be there!
For those interested, the ongoing challenges for the Ethics Pilot in NSW is ongoing, with the following sites helping out with the promotion of them:
http://www.reasonmakesadifference.net
and
http://campaign.specialethicseducation.com.au
and there you can send an email to you local MP with a mouse click.
- I’m presenting a lecture on ‘Illusions and Delusions’, 21 May at the Glyde In Community Learning Centre, in Fremantle! I’ll be going over some classics in the psychology of perception and talking about belief in all sorts of things. Should be fun!
Other news – I’ll be doing Dragon*Con 2010 (my third year!) and I hope to submit some materials for use at TAM8, even though I’m not attending that.
In the meantime – uploading this week’s episode of the Token Skeptic, so go enjoy that!
I’ll meet you in the chatroom to hear the Young Australian Skeptics on Skeptically Speaking, happening tomorrow (about 6am my time, so hopefully something more suitable your time!).

Wow. Busy!
Sydney SiTP is the first Thursday of the month, so you’ll be a few days late for it.
We’ll have to organise something for the weekend I guess.
No wonder why I never see you on Skype anymore!
I know!!!
Doesn’t help that we just got our SECOND replacement router!! :/ I’ve missed so much recently, what with work and tech troubles! Sorry, Derek! :/
Well we’ll has to have the “other” SiTP (Sturgess in the Pub) on a Tuesday night.
Let me know when something’s happening and I’ll come up for it. It’s not often that we see Podblack at this end of the country!
Well, no idea. Have contacted the Sydney Atheists and apparently their meetups are on a different day. I think someone else contacted the skeptics in the area… I would have thought they would know by now? Oh well.
