Hungry Beast – Catholic Church Sex Scandals In Perspective

by podblack on April 16, 2010

I know that there’s a few people overseas who couldn’t see this on the official site – and maybe a few people in Australia who missed the last show? So, here’s the YouTube screening of it.

Contrary to Pope Benedict’s assertion that the immorality of modern society is to blame for sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests, the church’s own historical documents reveal that sexual abuse has been a problem that the Catholic Church has failed to properly deal with since its earliest days. The Church’s first official document referring to the problem of sexual abusing children was in the year 60 AD. All of the documents referred to in this piece are real and have been fact checked.

Sexual abuse has been a problem in all sociaty throughout time the catholic curch choose to deal with the problem in a quiet maner because of fear that followers will lose faith

ONLY SOLUTION: Learn from Islam and let the Priests and Nuns marry. That is nature. All other solution are unrealistic. Nothing wrong learning. Let them even introduce polygamy. All this will stop and there will be no need to break the heads and defame Christianity when people are becoming less and less religious.

@Ahmad from Duabi

What a ridiculous strawman. The Catholic church’s policy of celibacy is not the problem. Its policy of covering up incidents of child abuse and protecting the abusers is.
