I wrote earlier about the fundraising for Tee Morris and the ‘Boom Effect’ on the post ‘Short Notice About A Sad Story And The Power Of Podcasting Community‘. The item I mentioned at the end of the post has just been donated and features at Boom Effect: Auction in action for Sonic Boom’s future!
This is to help out Tee Morris’ family and it is thanks to Philippa Ballantine that this is happening. There’s already a great range of products on offer from many different podcasters and writers that you should check out. Since Skeptic Zone and Token Skeptic are both (natch) science and skepticism podcasts, we added our own spin.
The Skeptic Zone podcast already has a bid for the items we’ve donated: SB052- Box of Skeptical Goodness – do note, they are able to be sent internationally and all the items are able to be used in any country (the DVDs of Tim Minchin are region-free for example).
This event will be a webathon run by Podcasting’s very own Rich Sigfrit, with a plethora of special guests and fun. It will take place live online at 10amEST February 27th 2010. Watch the event here, happening now!
