Well, looking over the HUGE number of YouTube clips and general asides to ‘I’m doing stuff, honest!’ it’s a little clear that the January holidays are not too kind to the blog.
If it’s any consolation? Looks like thesis is getting closer and closer to being finished. Yes, work on gender differences and skepticism and the measurement of paranormal beliefs using Rasch analysis.
There’s even another (slightly related) paper that is now even closer and closer to being published… which will be absolutely lovely and kind of ground-breaking for studies of superstition. Those who listen to the Skeptic Zone podcast (or who were kind enough to come to the live show on done at Dragon*Con – you are my heroes! – will remember my mentioning it there!).
So, there’s that. In other news, there’s the Amelia Bloomer Project, which has just released their 2009 list of feminist readings for young people.
I’m also very proud to say that after several YEARS (in fact, since TAM5), I will now have the joy of hearing Maira Benjamin’s voice again – aka ‘Girl 6′ – who will be appearing on the Skeptically Speaking radio show on the topic of ‘Race and Skepticism’. Whaooo!
In the meantime, this one is for Rikki B.
