I’ve been passing on a few tips (as demonstrated by this Twitter conversation with Dave the Happy Singer -- of Davethehappysinger.com) about supporting charities during this month and beyond.
Sign up to be a long-term benefactor, grab a few shirts, buy some books, get your 2010 calendars from them and know that unlike others, it’s going to be accountable and beneficial to a great many people and outreach groups.
I’d also add to the list a personal fave that belongs to a great friend to both the Skeptic Zone and the YAS podcast -- the Smoggy Kitten Club!
The Lort Smith Animal Hospital has a fostering program that Catherine has been helping with for quite some time now -- check out the history on her Smoggy Kitten club page as to how it all started.
