If you’re looking for horse racing superstitions? Check out last year’s post, ‘White House, White Horse, Superstitions and the Course‘.
If you’re looking for news about Tripod? Much better luck with me today – because they’ll be heading to the USA in 2010! Especially good recent news if you’re in Melbourne, as I’m very envious that they appear to be only doing this show there!
Hey if you like Tripod or Dungeons and Dragons or both (though I can’t possibly imagine you might), we’re doing what we’re calling the Kitchen Table Version of our new show Dungeons and Dragons the Opera. It’ll have all the songs, the story, the bickering (some as part of the story, some not) and guest performer Melissa Madden Gray. Just not the spectacular scenery, props and general polish.
Scod plays a wizard, Yon plays a Priest and Gatesy plays a fighter who wants to be a bard. It’s on at the Fairfax at the Arts Centre in Melbourne. 8-11 November.
Just a question. If I got a job working as a Religious Education teacher, would I get a 2+ saving throw against the Undead?

I’d like to take this opportunity to gloat and tell everyone that I’m going to this. ;D
Oh, and to ward off any Undead creeps in a Religious Education setting would require a Natural 20 – Jesus is omnipotent, you know.
Not to be a pedant or anything, but you don’t save against Undead. You may have a damage bonus or attack bonus against them, or maybe you can save against some sort of attack they do, like paralyzing you with their unholy ichor or some such, but not against the Undead themselves.
Yes, I spent far too much time memorizing the books when younger. Yes, there’s a rather large library of them sitting a few feet from me. What of it?
I think we’re ignoring the much bigger issue people.
What about the skeptics? Shouldn’t they be getting some sort of bonus in terms of not believing in zombies?
Hey, I’m for all the advantages I can get. People are starting to recognise dice-shavings for what they are and it’s a bugger trying to even up a 20D.
