Twitter-talk seems to have moved people quickly in regards to this story! Prof Brian Cox retweets about a ‘save Science blizzard‘ in response to an article that claimed that the Large Hadron Collider was likely to have UK support removed.
SundayTime online reported – and a rebuttal was written – Science and Technology Facilities Council:
The fact is that UK membership of CERN is governed by an international treaty, and could only be changed with UK Government approval.
I quite liked the Tweet from Lord Paul Drayson in response. Excellent news and well done to Brian Cox for what I heard was a well-recieved talk this weekend in London.

That is rather a big fuck up isn’t it.
But kind of nice that Twitter got the word out – I suspect that it was something the minister was well aware of in terms of being of use.
