You are typing in the quiet, slightly chilly Skeptic Track room at Dragon*Con. Derek Colanduno is puttering about, sorting out his computer and putting things away, tidying things up, sending you out to get ice for the ice bucket and generally behaving as if neither of us were awake at about 1.30am last night after the surprise ‘celebrate Derek and Swoopy’ party. 
It’s a little like the Skype chats you have with him – but he’s here in person. Odd.
Yesterday was a non-stop rush of running around to check out the start of the parade – got some video of that. You really need to get that up on YouTube. There’s also the track you were one with the SkepticZone team. Nice lunch yesterday with Heidi Anderson, Blake and Ben Radford. Went people-watching for a bit, dressed up as the white rabbit…
Now after a 6.30am wakeup and helping tidy the SkepTrack room… off for breakfast. See if this ‘wake up’ thing maintains for the next two days.
