Okay, whatever you may say? I still enjoyed the music. Or at least, the majority of it – and his family and kids will certainly need support over this. Yet, this is still the first thing that has me rolling my eyes in grim bemusement about the whole sordid business of having TMZ the first on the scene of one’s death – The Death of Michael Jackson:
Close friend Uri Geller told Sky News he was hoping desperately that the reports were not true: “I must hear it from a doctor. I cannot believe everything I see and read and hear at the moment. I hope it’s not true, I’m waiting like you are, like the whole planet is waiting to hear it from the mouth of the doctor taking care of him.
“I’m absolutely devastated and shocked. He was a young man terribly fit and basically in good shape. If it is true I am just in total shock.”
Yes, that was ‘psychic’ Uri Geller being quoted there. This guy:
In case you’re wondering about the link between the two – another brief news item about US politics and
whether aliens have contacted earth:
Michael Jackson is a friend of Uri Geller, the UK based psychic star Jon Ronson claims sent him on a search for “Ron” which uncovered the psychokinetic heart-stopping “Men Who Stare at Goats”.
Uri was last reported as ‘flogging magic bracelets’ in Japan, in case you’re wondering. Check the testimonials, which include Uri’s dog…

I wonder how many “psychic prediction” websites are being post-edited now to add Jackson’s death to their 2009 predictions?
I also wonder, once all the hype as subsided, which shopping centre Jackson will be spotted in first?
It’s probably going to be like Elvis.
Personally, I’m still waiting for someone to say it was just a hoax. It’s kind of like when Diana died, I didn’t believe that for a while either.
Thanks for the link. Yes, you’d have thought Uri would have foreseen Jacko’s death. Perhaps he wasn’t wearing his magic bracelet at the time.
Still time to cash in though, he could release a commemorative set of spoons to mark the occasion.
Love the site by the way.
Hey, ‘Our Man In Abiko’ – thank YOU for your site!
I sometimes watch “reality TV” One of my favourite parts of watching “I’m a celebrity get me out of here” Apart from George Takei. Is when Uri Geller was on there and got Micheal Jackson’s birthday 2 days wrong. (He got the day difference between australia time and American time backwards.)
