Funnily enough (though not funny at all really), after their credulous dismissal of Richard’s skepticism yesterday (and just about every other time they’ve had him on the show), Mel asked today how someone can believe in religion to the point of allowing their own child to die.

If you believe in happy spirits – and psychics never seem to contact grumpy ones – then why would you care about someone dying and going to that happy place?

Credulous reporting (and repeatedly scoffing at the rational views of skeptics) can surely only lead to the empowering of credulous views in the community. Sunrise, as it stands, is a part of the problem.

I saw Coombes doing a reading on one of the morning shows a few weeks ago. He spouted so much non-stop gibberish that it would be difficult not to find a vague "hit" or two amongst it. He reminds me of Alvin, the chipmunk. How does Richard do it? Remain calm, that is, without bursting into laughter? Oh my. That was sad. And to think I recently gave kudos to Channel Seven for their recent forays into reality.
