Jenny McCarthy Body Count

by podblack on March 29, 2009

I’m involved with the site Stop Jenny McCarthy (www.stopjenny.com), a site that was started by another member (who wishes to remain anon) in response to the anti-vaccination claims of Jenny McCarthy.

Soon, this site will be launched: Jenny McCarthy Body Count.

It’s really quite clever – clicking on the links for the preventable cases and the deaths, leads you to the stats for the centers for disease control reports on vaccine preventable illnesses, as found on the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.

Whilst this is clearly a USA-centered focus, it’s still quite interesting to have an insider’s look at the damage anti-vaccination has. Derek Bartholomaus of the site Post Guy is the creator and his Twitter is here.

eh bro that’s ace …Sorry been watching the Conchords. Pity Mercy ministries don’t release statistics or I could do something similar :)

Is there perhaps an official site or record that could be used? Even just anon quotes? I was under the impression there were such resources – I guess the clean, basic layout of this particular site makes it particularly impressive in terms of ‘this is the issue, here’s the number so far’. Other links could give the source of the info that’s profiled?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Seems that any decent public health department should have these figures..who was vaccinated, who wasn’t, et cetera. Unless there’s some confidentiality issue…
