Little Kitten – Whales And Scientific Research, Kind Of

by podblack on November 24, 2008

I’ve linked to ‘See Mike Draw‘ in the past (usually when I’m very busy, and whatayaknow, I’m really busy this week) – but this one got me splooping coffee down the wrong way:

Thanks to Jim W W Smith (a man so cool, his middle initials are repeated!) for pointing out ‘SMD’’s new site, Postcard from Urf (especially the one about Lolcats…) – and to Daniel for putting up with a series of naggy emails from me today. Jim will have to give him a big kissy on my behalf. Heh.

Funny, this one reminds me of somewhere… something to do with ‘cliques DON’T equal community, you (@#&@*#&^@#)…

Great jokes and links. As strange as this is, I wonder why a whale wouldn’t make a good research partner if you combine the talking animal association at the link. Their brains have to be huge! Perhaps they are just poorly educated or have such a fondness for sushi that they think of nothing else.

Very funny. I’ve always thought the definitive comment on whale research is the one from Good Omens. You know, “Currently they were researching the question, how many whales can you kill in one day” or something like that.
