Takes a while to start (I think the person who edited it might have included the opening screen twice) – but this is Dr Richard ‘Quirkology‘ Wiseman in a car advert (Volvo).
He’s having a chat to the man who inspired the film The Pursuit of Happyness: Cris Gardner, a millionaire, philanthropist and motivational speaker who struggled with homelessness whilst raising his son during the early stages of his career as a stockbroker. They end up talking about luck… and there’s a card-trick involved. What’s the chance of that happening??

I don’t think it was actually a card trick, was it? Looked like a genuine experiment involving twenty 50/50 probabilities, which could have gone any way. Or did I miss something?
Yeah, I meant it in the way that he was challenging the notion of ‘luck’ and I was trying to find the ’second half’ to see if it would expand upon that… personally, a rabbit out of a hat might have zipped it up a bit…
