Go check it out for yourself! The Skeptic.com site now features the details of all the back-issues of the Skeptic which contain the Junior Skeptic insert!
I noticed that you can click through each one and find out exactly which one has particular features and information – and seriously, these are great intro topics for anyone of any age. The last one that had a ‘crystal skulls’ theme that obviously linked to the recent Indiana Jones movie had so much info about ‘archaeology adventurers’ and the reality behind their fictional hijinks, that it became the most re-read article in the whole edition for me! And of course, the illustrations are just the stand-out element whenever you’re flicking through the magazine, some of which you can download as icons here.
There’s also a recommendation that people ‘post the Junior Skeptic section of skeptic.com to your own Facebook Profile, or send it to Facebook friends you know would enjoy knowing about it.’ Considering this new web profile, this is a good move towards getting the younger generation knowing about it.
Of course, I’d strongly suggest people getting in touch with Daniel Loxton and suggest more ideas! It has the potential to be even bigger with community support and input as to what can be done. Let’s face it, Junior Skeptic has been the one common element that everyone recommends when it comes to parenting tips for raising skeptical children!
…and I must say, the banner pic at the top of this post is SO my fave illustration off the site so far… see if you can figure out where I got it from! They make aliens just look so cute!

They need to show one stoner alien in the back row with a bong he made out of an anal probing device. What else would stoner aliens make bongs out of?
I’m wondering why there isn’t one sneakily beaming himself out so he can go to the movies instead…
